Eligibility Criteria and Job Descriptions

1. Public Relation Officer (PRO)

  • Responsibilities: The PRO will manage the museum’s website, visitor interactions, and public relations programs. They will also liaise with media and other cultural organizations, advising on policy and communication strategies.
  • Eligibility:
    • Officers from Central/State Governments or similar organizations.
    • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism/Mass Communication.
    • Experience: Two years in public relations or event management.
    • Desirable: Master’s degree in Journalism or a certificate in a UN-recognized foreign language.

2. Office Superintendent

  • Responsibilities: Oversee staff duties, administrative tasks, budget preparation, and personnel matters at NGMA.
  • Eligibility:
    • Officers from Central/State Governments or similar organizations.
    • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree.
    • Experience: Two years in establishment or accounts work.

3. Upper Division Clerk (UDC)

  • Responsibilities: Manage staff recruitment, maintain service books, prepare budgets, and handle official correspondence and dispatch activities.
  • Eligibility:
    • Officers from Central/State Governments or similar organizations.
    • Experience: Eight years as a Lower Division Clerk (LDC) or equivalent.

4. Administrative Officer

  • Responsibilities: Manage recruitment, budget formulation, administration, and vigilance matters at NGMA.

    • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree.
    • Experience: Two years in administration or vigilance.

5. Security Officer

  • Eligibility:
    • Officers from Police/Armed Forces or similar organizations.
    • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree and a diploma in security/firefighting.
    • Experience: Five years in security functions.

6. Curator (Restoration)

  • Responsibilities: Manage the restoration and preservation of art objects, organize exhibitions, and oversee the restoration laboratory.
  • Eligibility:
    • Officers from Central/State Governments or similar organizations.
    • Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Fine Arts and Senior Secondary with Chemistry.
    • Experience: Five years as a restorer in a large museum or gallery.
