KPMG’s global delivery center, KGS, is seeking a Consultant to join its Deal Advisory & Strategy (DA&S) team, based in Gurgaon, Haryana. KGS plays a crucial role in enhancing innovation and scalability across the firm’s global operations. The DA&S group at KGS comprises over 1,400 professionals across Gurgaon, Mumbai, and Bangalore, providing solutions to KPMG member firms globally. With expertise in corporate finance, M&A transactions, business modeling, and accounting advisory services, the DA&S team leverages insights and best practices to support KPMG’s strategy.

Role Overview:
As a Consultant in the Financial Due Diligence (FDD) team, you will be responsible for analyzing and summarizing financial data to support M&A transactions. Your role will include working on various financial reports and documents, ensuring they meet the firm’s and professional standards. You will collaborate with internal teams to reconcile financial data, identify issues, and highlight unusual trends for further analysis. You will also be required to produce data books and assist in the preparation of reports that align with KPMG’s high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and summarize financial data, including trial balances, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows.
- Prepare data books that comply with firm and professional standards.
- Reconcile management-provided information with audited financial data.
- Identify financial issues and conduct relevant analyses.
- Highlight significant trends and formulate questions for management.
- Review KPMG reports to ensure consistency.
- Build strong professional relationships with team members and clients.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Post-graduate degree in Finance or Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Prior experience in financial statement analysis is preferred.
- Passion for deal advisory with a proactive learning mindset.
- Strong personal integrity and ability to build trust within teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Flexibility to adapt to different engagement types, working hours, and locations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
