About the Role (DBA Youth in Mental Health)
As the Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing a Mental Health Careers Fellowship Program for DBA youth. Your responsibilities will include conducting a 5-month scoping exercise to co-design the program with stakeholders from DBA communities, followed by its development and implementation. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive systemic change by creating pathways for DBA youth to thrive in the mental health and development sectors.
Key Responsibilities as Project Manager
- Program Implementation: Oversee daily activities, ensure timely delivery of outputs, and coordinate with team members.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Engage with DBA communities, civil society organizations, researchers, and academics to gather insights and co-design the program.
- Scoping Activities: Conduct desk research, consultations, and interviews to inform the fellowship design.
- Qualitative Research: Analyze data from scoping activities to develop a robust and inclusive fellowship program.
- Team Management: Collaborate with the Program Manager, internal teams, and consultants to align implementation plans with program objectives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Essential:
- Master’s degree in Social Sciences or allied fields.
- 2-3 years of experience in implementing capacity-building, education, or fellowship programs for youth.
- Strong project and team management skills.
- Familiarity with qualitative research methodologies.
- Fluency in English and Hindi (verbal and written).
- Willingness to travel for program activities.
- Desirable:
- Lived experience or first-generation learner from DBA communities.
- Prior experience in mental health, public health, or related fields.
- Proficiency in local languages.
